The NFPA Throwline is a high-visibility floating rescue rope designed specifically for water rescue operations and engineered to meet NFPA standards for throwline performance. Constructed with a Dyneema® core and polypropylene sheath, this lightweight rope delivers excellent handling characteristics, high strength, and dependable flotation in both moving and still water environments.
A throwline is one of the most effective tools for reaching and assisting victims during water rescue incidents. It also provides an important downstream safety backup when rescuers must enter the water. The bright yellow rope with red tracer offers excellent visibility, helping rescuers quickly locate and deploy the line during emergency situations.
To meet NFPA requirements, the entire length of the throwline is designed to float to the surface within one minute after a 24-hour immersion in water. Rope is sold by the foot and includes finished rope ends at no additional charge. Custom lengths are available with no cutting fees.
