Innotex® doesn't just design turnout gear. Rather, the company continually strives to refine its offerings based on four design principles taking into account modern firefighters' performance: comfort, durability, efficiency and protection without compromise.
As a result of this commitment, fire departments across the U.S. and abroad outfit their teams with Innotex®. Learn more about what sets this brand apart from the competition.
About Innotex® Fire Gear
Innotex® didn't start manufacturing firefighting gear. Rather, its origins as a garment maker stretch back over 100 years, and in a pivotal moment, it switched to extreme winter sports and football protective gear in the 1960s. Two decades later, the company transitioned its operations to fire-resistant industrial and military apparel. By the closing of the 20th century, these ideas merged into Innotex®, a line of UL®-certified turnout gear that officially debuted in 2001.
Today, this history emerges through Innotex®'s balance between lightweight materials and construction inspired by extreme sports, a field requiring natural, unrestricted mobility, no extra ounces, high-performance comfort and strategic protection. Collectively, this approach translates to more streamlined firefighting coats, jackets and other garments, all supported by attention to detail, superior craftsmanship and long-lasting materials.
Continuing to revisit and update its designs, more recent Innotex® turnout gear incorporates the following:
- PFAS-free carcinogenic particulate-blocking interfaces designed with DuPont™ Nomex® Nano
- Endurance™ knee guards that align with your natural movement
- Airflow™ 3D padding added to the back and shoulders to make using an SCBA more comfortable
