If your department fights fires with pressurized foam, your equipment lineup isn't complete without a foam eductor.
Used to control and distribute Class A concentrates, foam eductor nozzles decrease the hose's internal pressure. This action causes the outside air to place greater external pressure on the hose, forcing the foam concentrate to move through the eductor. Inlet pressure and flow ratings help you gauge performance relative to your operation.
Of the two types of foam eductors available, inline models are modular and manually secure to a fire pump discharge. Deployment is based on fire type and progression.
Widely used by departments, Protek's foam eductors provide a combination of control and precision through a removable metered valve and a large, easy-to-read metered dial.
Along with these features, adaptability shapes Protek's in-line foam eductors. So you receive the exact ratio of foam concentrate required to extinguish flames, the dial on the 5203-95 adjusts from 0% to 6%. Because pressure assists with delivery, these solutions are rated at 200 PSI, are compatible with 75 PSI and 100 PSI nozzles and can be used with most types of firefighting foam concentrates.
For additional efficiency, Protek designs its foam eductors with a ball check valve to minimize backflow and a foam pickup tube for delivery.
Features:
Description
- Eductors are rated for optimum flow at 200 PSI (14 bar) inlet pressure.
- Works well with nozzles rated at 75 PSI (5 bar) and 100 PSI (7 bar).
- Ball check valve prevents backflow into foam concentrate.
- Supplied with clear foam 6-1/2' pickup hose and 15" stainless steel tube.
- Pickup rate may be set at any position between 0% to 6% with detents at 1/4, 1/2, 1, 3 and 6%.
