The Lumbar Escape System Bag provides an ergonomic and secure method for carrying a personal escape system while maintaining firefighter mobility and comfort. Designed to accommodate escape systems such as the Sterling F4 and Petzl EXO, this patent-pending bag offers optimized storage, deployment, and protection for up to 50 feet of 7.5 mm escape rope.
The lumbar-mounted design distributes the weight of the escape system across the lower back, reducing bulk at the waist and improving overall comfort during extended operations. Adjustable horizontal and vertical attachment straps allow users to customize positioning while maintaining a low-profile fit that minimizes interference with movement and equipment. The bag mounts directly to compatible Class II harnesses and is compatible with most externally worn harness systems.
Built for demanding fire service environments, the bag features flame-resistant and extreme-duty construction utilizing PBI® and Arashield™ exterior materials with a Kevlar® lining to help protect the escape system from heat, abrasion, and operational wear. A removable protective flap shields the anchor hook while a unique retention system secures the hook until deployment is required, allowing rapid access during emergencies.
