The NFPA Class II Harness 541NYC Series is a lightweight fire service harness designed for rapid donning, secure positioning, and compatibility with firefighter escape systems. Known as the FDNY Personal Harness, this proven design provides firefighters with reliable fall protection and work positioning capabilities while maintaining exceptional mobility and comfort during emergency operations.
Constructed from durable 1-3/4" nylon webbing stitched with high-tenacity nylon thread, the harness weighs just 2.8 lbs. when equipped with the aluminum triple-lock Pompier hook. The unique leg strap design utilizes color-coded loops that allow firefighters to quickly step into the harness for fast deployment. A forged alloy steel escape system attachment D-ring provides a dedicated connection point for personal escape systems, while the center-front Pompier hook storage location keeps hardware secure and accessible.
Designed to integrate with turnout gear, the harness can be attached directly to bunker pants using loops offered by many turnout gear manufacturers. Its low-profile design helps lower the body's center of gravity, reducing the likelihood of toppling while working at heights or in challenging positions. Available in both right-side and left-side opening configurations, the 541NYC Series accommodates a wide range of departmental preferences and operational requirements.
