During extended periods when the vehicle is parked, small air system leaks can cause pressure to fall below the brake release threshold. The Auto Pump automatically monitors system pressure and activates as needed to restore proper pressure, helping keep the vehicle ready for immediate departure.
A heavy-duty pressure switch automatically starts the compressor when system pressure drops to 105 PSI and shuts the compressor off when pressure reaches 125 PSI. The cut-in pressure is field adjustable, while the 20 PSI pressure differential remains fixed. A built-in pressure gauge provides convenient system status monitoring, and a 15-amp circuit breaker installed in the pressure switch provides electrical protection.
The direct-drive design couples the permanent magnet motor directly to the compressor section, eliminating belts and pulleys for reliable operation and reduced maintenance requirements. Sealed ball bearings provide long service life, while the compressor operates independently without interfering with the vehicle's engine-mounted air compressor.
