The Kussmaul Auto Current 2 is a current-sensing device designed to provide remote indication when one or more monitored electrical loads are operating. Designed for fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, command vehicles, and other specialty vehicle electrical systems, the Auto Current 2 simplifies warning and status circuits by allowing a single remote indicator to monitor multiple lights or other electrical loads.
The Auto Current 2 detects current flow from 1 to 30 amps and closes an internal switch to activate a connected remote indicator. Any one or multiple loads operating within the monitored circuit can activate the indicator, allowing a single status light to provide operating confirmation for multiple electrical devices. The indicator circuit may be electrically isolated from the monitored circuit or powered by the same vehicle battery, providing flexibility for different electrical system configurations. Optional -G configurations are available for applications requiring the indicator to be operated by grounding.
