The Kussmaul Auto Current F-A is a current-sensing and auxiliary-input control device designed to simplify warning indicator circuits in fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, command vehicles, and other specialty vehicle electrical systems. By monitoring current flow to multiple electrical loads and providing a flashing remote output signal, the Auto Current F-A allows a single indicator to alert operators when compartment lights or other monitored equipment are energized.
The Auto Current F-A combines automatic current sensing with an auxiliary ground-activated input for additional warning system flexibility. The sensing terminals are wired in series with the power supplied to monitored compartment lights or other electrical loads. When the unit detects current flow, the output relay operates and cycles ON and OFF to produce a flashing signal for a remote indicator light. The auxiliary input can be connected to multiple switches wired in parallel, allowing any connected switch to activate the flashing warning output independently of the current-sensing circuit. This combination makes the Auto Current F-A ideal for DO NOT MOVE VEHICLE indicators, open compartment door detection, and other emergency vehicle warning applications.
