The Kussmaul Low Voltage Alarm 24V provides automatic battery voltage monitoring and alarm control for fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, command vehicles, and other specialty vehicle electrical systems. Designed to detect sustained low-voltage conditions, the unit helps alert operators when battery voltage falls below the preset threshold and remains low for 120 seconds, allowing a connected visual or audible warning device to be activated.
The Low Voltage Alarm continuously monitors the vehicle's battery voltage using a simple two-wire sensing connection. A green LED indicator illuminates during normal voltage conditions. When battery voltage drops below the preset threshold and remains low for the 120-second delay period, the green LED turns off, the red LED illuminates, and the internal relay operates. The heavy-duty 30-amp relay includes normally open and normally closed contacts for flexible connection to compatible alarms, indicators, or load-control circuits. The voltage set point and time delay are designed to meet the applicable low-voltage alarm requirements referenced in NFPA 1901.
