The Kussmaul UV-OV Relay is a programmable voltage monitoring device designed to continuously monitor battery system voltage and detect both under-voltage and over-voltage conditions. Designed for fire apparatus, ambulances, rescue vehicles, command vehicles, and other specialty vehicle electrical systems, the UV-OV Relay helps alert operators to abnormal voltage conditions that could result in discharged batteries, electrical system problems, or battery overcharging.
The under-voltage and over-voltage trip points are independently programmed using accessible 3-position DIP switch banks located beneath a snap-on protective window. The under-voltage trip point can be selected from eight settings ranging from 11.44 to 13.01 VDC, while the over-voltage trip point can be selected from eight settings ranging from 13.66 to 15.06 VDC. Independent heavy-duty relay contacts are provided for both voltage conditions, allowing compatible alarms, indicators, or other warning devices to be activated when abnormal voltage is detected. Three integrated LED indicators simplify system monitoring and troubleshooting, with yellow indicating under voltage, green indicating normal voltage, and red indicating over voltage.
