The Kochek Low Level Strainer is designed to maximize water drafting efficiency by allowing fire departments to draft from shallow water sources while minimizing the amount of unusable water left behind. Ideal for rural firefighting, tanker shuttle operations, and portable water supply, the strainer drafts water down to approximately 2 inches from the bottom of the water source, helping maximize available water during emergency operations.
Constructed from lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy, the Low Level Strainer features a pivoting adjustable elbow that provides flexible hose positioning during drafting. The reinforced base pan incorporates additional side walls to help prevent damage to portable tanks, while larger 4-inch through 6-inch models feature a built-in jet siphon that also allows the strainer to function as a water transfer device. Internal screening is standard on 2-1/2" through 6" models, while 6" Big Water versions utilize an external screen for maximum flow. Available with a variety of female threaded connections, the Low Level Strainer meets applicable NFPA standards for dependable fire service performance.
