The Smart IR Med-Evac LZ Kit (Rechargeable) – Set of 5 is designed to provide emergency responders, military personnel, and aviation crews with a rapid, dependable solution for establishing helicopter landing zones during medical evacuations and nighttime operations. Featuring five radio-connected landing zone flares, the kit allows crews to quickly create a highly visible, synchronized landing zone while minimizing setup time in critical situations.
Each flare is equipped with 16 high-power visible green LEDs around the perimeter and four high-power infrared LEDs on the top, providing exceptional visibility for both ground personnel and aircrews using night vision equipment. Pi-Lit's Rapid Deployment System (RDS™) automatically powers on each flare as it is removed from the carrying case, allowing for immediate deployment without additional user input.
Powered by an integrated lithium-ion rechargeable battery, each flare delivers more than 20 hours of continuous flashing on a full charge. A convenient push-button battery status indicator lets users quickly verify remaining battery life, while a complete recharge takes approximately six hours from a fully depleted battery. The included ballasted range extender bases improve stability and communication performance in demanding field conditions.
Built to withstand harsh emergency response environments, each flare features an IP67-rated water- and dust-resistant housing and is laboratory tested and certified to withstand up to 50,000 pounds of crush force. The included carrying and charging case, along with vehicle and wall charging adapters, keeps the system organized, protected, and ready for deployment at a moment's notice.
