Engineered as an advanced alternative to a traditional flat head axe, the Ultra-Force Axe combines an 8 lb. head, oversized striking surface, extended cutting edge, and the LeatherHead Lock feature to support conventional and single-firefighter forcible entry operations.

The 8 lb. axe head is heat treated for strength and durability during repeated professional use. An oversized striking surface provides a larger target when driving forcible entry tools and helps provide additional protection for the firefighter's hands. The extended axe beard provides increased contact area for chopping and cutting, while the sharp, thin cutting edge can be driven into tight spaces and used as a wedge during forcible entry operations.

The integrated LeatherHead Lock provides two important functions when the Ultra-Force Axe is paired with a Halligan bar. A groove on the handle side allows the Halligan bar to be securely married to the axe for convenient one-handed carrying and deployment as a Set of Irons. The top side of the LeatherHead Lock interfaces with the forks of a Halligan bar to provide additional leverage and mechanical advantage during demanding forcible entry operations.
