The Ziamatic 18" Width Swing Out & Down Vehicle Ladders provide safe and convenient access to elevated areas of fire apparatus while storing parallel to the apparatus body when not in use. When access is needed, simply release the locking handle and pull the ladder outward to a comfortable climbing angle. Once deployed, the ladder automatically latches and will not retract until the scissor lock is raised.
The ladder features 3" deep cast aluminum rungs with flat, non-skid stepping surfaces for dependable traction and safety. Handrails are constructed from 1-1/4" heavy-walled aluminum tubing and finished with a rough-grip black powder coat. Each ladder is custom-made to fit the apparatus and requires a rear-end dimensional drawing of the vehicle for proper design.
