The Ziamatic Suction Strainer is designed to deliver high-flow water performance while allowing fire departments to make full use of available water sources down to 1-1/2" deep. The 5" QD-500 is capable of flows in excess of 1,900 GPM, while the 6" QD-600 delivers flows over 2,300 GPM.
A built-in screen keeps debris outside the strainer without being affected by surface turbulence, eliminating the need to shut down the line and disconnect the hose to clean the screen. The coupling can be adjusted and locked through a 90-degree arc to help prevent hose bending and allow the strainer to sit flat on the bottom of the tank. Constructed from high-tensile-strength aluminum, the strainer also features a convenient carrying handle and long-handled anodized aluminum coupling for quick setup.
